Hazeldean School Open House! March 5, 2020 at 6:30 pm. General Open House grades K - 6 http://hazeldean.epsb.ca/ The Hazeldean Elementary Program has 140 students from kindergarten through grade six. We are currently planning one class for each grade from Kindergarten to grade six. Special needs children are integrated into these classrooms. The Pre-Kindergarten Program provides multidisciplinary support to pre-school children with complex learning needs and developmental delays. It is directly funded through Alberta Education Program Unit Funding. There are currently 110 children between 3 and 5 ½ years of age enrolled in our program who have moderate to severe delays including: speech and language; gross and fine motor; cognitive; behavioural/emotional; and social skills development. This includes but is not limited to children diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsey, down syndrome, and emotional behavior disorders. Service to children is provided by a multidisciplinary team consisting of teachers, educational assistants, speech and language pathologists, speech and language assistants, occupational therapists, physical therapists, occupational and physical therapist assistants, family resource coordinators, and administrators. The majority of programming occurs within the daily classroom routine.   Soccer registration for 2020 will take place on February 9th, from 1pm - 4pm at the Hazeldean Community Hall.
