Hazeldean Greenway and Naturalization - Survey Results are IN!!!

Thank you to everyone who completed the greenway survey.  The City has completed compiling the results.  241 surveys were completed and revealed a strong endorsement for naturalisation in all areas considered.  Potential park features receiving the most support from respondents included naturalisation/environmental restoration, tree planting, trees and shrubs, off leash dog walking, open green space, and benches.  Recurring concerns were safety and security and avoiding residential development of the lands.  If you would like to get involved, contact the League to join our greenway committee.  Also, the greenway committee plans to organise a clean up this May of the greenway and Mill Creek Ravine in conjunction with the Capital City Clean-up.

Current Projects - Grounds Development, Skate Shack

PARKING STUDY COMPLETED - YOUR INPUT IS REQUIRED!!

Thank you to everyone for their patience as we complete this research phase of our plans for the Grounds Development Project.  The Committee has been conducting a parking study over the summer and the results are in.  We are investigating what would be a reasonable number of parking stalls to provide on-site for events and your opinion would be appreciated.  Please answer the following survey question:  What do you consider to be a reasonable number of parking stalls to be located on-site?

Your choices are:

A:  Utilize Edmonton Public School Property and all of our available green space for a total of 60 parking stalls (required by the City bylaw)

B:  Utilize Edmonton Public School Property and a portion of our green space for a total of +/- 47 parking stalls (bylaw variance required)

C:  Utilize a portion of our green space for a total of +/- 27 parking stalls (bylaw variance required)

D:  Utilize a smaller portion of our green space for a total of +/- 17 parking stalls (bylaw variance required)

E:   No stalls on site (bylaw variance required)
