Papaschase First Nation represents descendants of the Papaschase Band, whose leaders signed an adhesion to Treaty 6 at Fort Edmonton in 1877. With deep ancestral ties to the lands now known as Edmonton, the Nation continues its work to reconnect descendants, preserve its history and cultural identity, and seek recognition and justice for the loss of its former reserve in south Edmonton.
